A long-awaited update with an ability to publish documents to Medium has arrived.
Publishing to Medium from Write! is quite simple — all you need to do is to integrate your Medium account into Write! with Medium’s integration token.
Setting Up The Account
Getting the token and integrating it into Write! is not a rocket science. Just log into your Medium account and go to Settings. When in the Settings, scroll down to “Integration Tokens” at the very bottom of the page. There you’ll be able to generate a new token. Copy it to your clipboard and proceed to Write!.
In Write!, right-click a document’s tab and select “Publish Document to… > Medium”.
Paste the token into the necessary field, choose publish status, adjust other options and you are ready to go!
Here’s what’s new in Write! 1.35.0:
- Added an option to publish to Medium;
- Added the “Format” section to the Main Menu;
- Added the shortcut to highlight text: Ctrl+H for Windows and Linux, Shift+⌘H for macOS. When in the menu with colors, hold Ctrl and left-click (⌘+left-click) a color to make it default;
- Improved overall app’s performance by adjusting the load of dictionaries;
- Other minor bug fixes.
Alternatively, you can go to your Account (you need to be logged in), navigate to the Download tab, and get the latest version for your OS there.
As always, we eagerly await your feedback on our UserVoice page.
